Hitler’s Thoughts on Religion, God, and Nature
“The war will be over one day. I shall then consider that my life’s final task will be to solve the religious problem. Only then will the life of the German native be guaranteed once and for all. I don’t interfere in matters of belief. Therefore I can’t allow churchmen to interfere with temporal affairs. The organized lie must be smashed. The State must remain the absolute master” [Table-Talk, pp.142-143]. [Emphasis added]
Hitler was very ardent about a true separation of Church and State, even though the Nazi State oftentimes funded religious organizations and churches. This was an embedded socio-political necessity that the Nazi government could not evade, according to A.P. Laurie, but in all other matters—aside from a Christian-derived social code of morality and ethics—there was to be no meddling between the affairs of the temporal and the spiritual realms.
The Positive Christian ethical-moral doctrine of Naziism was very broadly defined, just as was the religious decree set forth by the American Unitarian Christian Founding Father, Thomas Jefferson. No belief system or religion was to become state-controlled, nor was any religion or belief system to be ostracized by the State. Furthermore, no belief system or religion was to dictate to the State, nor was any religion or belief system allowed to determine the rightful existence of other religions or belief systems.
The Nazis may have endorsed and adhered to Positive Christianity, Catholicism, and Protestantism, but they allowed all other religions, or lack thereof, freedom to believe and practice as they saw fit. It is almost identical to the United States First Amendment guarantee of freedom of religion.
Hitler’s Thoughts on Religion, Christ, and Islam
“The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity’s illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity. Bolshevism practices a lie of the same nature, when it claims to bring liberty to men, whereas in reality it seeks only to enslave them. In the ancient world, the relations between men and gods were founded on an instinctive respect. It was a world enlightened by the idea of tolerance. Christianity was the first creed in the world to exterminate its adversaries in the name of love. Its key-note is intolerance.”
Hitler loathed the religious-based hypocrisy, and the constant oppression, as practiced by the religious authorities and Zealots. He did not have much tolerance for intolerance, which sounds like an oxymoron, but it really is not. The Jews were extremely intolerant, and Hitler had blamed them for the gross intolerance wielded by the Christian religion.
To the contrary, Jesus was an extremely tolerant man, and His message was one of tolerance, socialism, and brotherly coexistence, which Jewry simply could not—and cannot to this day—handle. They want to impose their Bolshevist will unto all the peoples of the world, and certain peoples are once again becoming absolutely disgusted with their imposing will. Just as Hitler had finally thrown off the Jewish-Bolshevist stranglehold via Positive Christianity and National Socialism, so too is Islam finally confronting Jewish-Liberalism in the Mid-East—it has simply encroached too far upon the wills and dreams of others.
This is something that Jews cannot—and will not ever—understand, so they must simply accept it as something that has always confronted them as a people. The Jews are just too intolerant, and they will not ever change their ways.
“Without Christianity, we should not have had Islam. The Roman Empire, under Germanic influence, would have developed in the direction of world-domination, and humanity would not have extinguished fifteen centuries of civilization at a single stroke.
“Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things” [Table-Talk, p.7].
Hitler did not believe that Christianity had imparted the precept of the human spirit, or soul, onto mankind; but rather, that this concept was an inherent human gift. Hitler believed that all men had this endowment, regardless of his race, culture, or sex.
“Jesus was most certainly not a Jew. The Jews would never have handed one of their own people to the Roman courts; they would have condemned Him themselves. It is quite probable that a large number of the descendents of the Roman legionaries, mostly Gauls, were living in Galilee, and Jesus was probably one of them. His mother may well have been a Jewess.”
The Jews had their own courts and their own laws for their prisoners, so, had Jesus been a Jew, He would have been tried and sentenced by Jewish—not Roman—authorities.
“Jesus fought against the materialism of His age, and, therefore, against the Jews.”
Jesus had defied the crass hypocrisy and rampant greed of the Jewish Sadducees and Pharisees; hence, they liquidated Him.
“Paul of Tarsus [St. Paul], who was originally one of the most stubborn enemies of the Christians, suddenly realized the immense possibilities of using, intelligently and for other ends, an idea which was exercising such great powers of fascination. He realized that the judicious exploitation of this idea among non-Jews would give him far greater power in the world than would the promise of material profit to the Jews themselves. It was then that the future St. Paul distorted with diabolical cunning the [true] Christian idea. Out of this idea, which was a declaration of war on the golden calf, on the egotism and the materialism of the Jews, he created a rallying point for slaves [compare with movements like feminism, NAACP, ACLU, ADL, Communism etc., which are all Jewish-instigated movements and organizations] of all kinds against the elite, the masters and those in dominant authority [modern day White Western European males]. The religion fabricated by Paul of Tarsus, which was later called Christianity [Jesus never labeled His movement “Christianity,” as it was named after the word “Christ,” which means “Logos,” much later on], is nothing but the Communism of today” [Ibid., pp. 721-722].
Hitler, Dietrich Eckart, Josef Goebbels, Hans Kerrl, and Julius Streicher, among others, did not believe that St. Paul had been a righteous and genuine Christian covert. They all believed that St. Paul had been the most diabolical and cunning of the Jews of Christ’s day, in that he had deliberately taken advantage of Christianity and the Christian willingness—or rather, will—to suffer. He saw in Christianity the potential for Jewish power and consolidation, but more importantly, the vehicle for what would become Bolshevism in the 20th century.
“Christ was an Aryan, and St. Paul used his doctrine to mobilize the criminal underworld and thus organize a proto-Bolshevism. This intrusion upon the world marks the end of a long reign, that of the clear Graeco-Latin genius.
Captain Jack Mohr argued this same point, and supported his thesis with both the Bible and Roman documentation. Jesus was not a Jew, and the Jews did not—and do not—declare Him Jewish in their Talmud, either. In fact, according to the Talmud, Jesus was “the son of a Roman soldier” named Pantera.
“What is this God who takes pleasure only in seeing men grovel before Him? Try to picture to yourselves the meaning of the following, quite a simple story. God creates the conditions for sin. Later on He succeeds, with the help of the Devil, in causing man to sin. Then He employs a virgin to bring into the world a son who, by His death, will redeem humanity!
Hitler dismissed the majority of the biblical precepts as either inane, or completely askew. He viewed Jesus as the savior of the West, and as a proto-socialist revolutionary who had taken up a position against the subjugation of the Gentiles at the hands of capitalistic Roman Jewry.
“I can imagine people being enthusiastic about the paradise of Mahomet, but as for the insipid paradise of the Christians! … The man of the isles pays homage to the forces of nature. But Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery. A negro with his taboos is crushingly superior to the human being who seriously believes in Transsubstantiation (in Christianity, a rite that is considered to have been established by Jesus Christ to bring grace to those participating in or receiving it; Microsoft Thesaurus).
Hitler had outright dismissed all of the inexplicable and nonsensical dogma of the Bible. He believed Jesus to be “the first Socialist revolutionary,” the savior of the anti-Jewish, Western folk ideologies, and as a martyr for His profound movement.
“I begin to lose all respect for humanity when I think that some people on our side, Ministers or generals, are capable of believing that we cannot triumph without the blessing of the Church. Such a notion is excusable in little children who have learnt nothing else.
“For thirty years [Thirty Years’ War] Germans tore each other to pieces simply in order to know whether or not they should take Communion in both kinds. There’s nothing lower than religious notions like that. From that point of view, one can envy the Japanese. They have a religion which is very simple and brings them into contact with nature. They’ve succeeded even in taking Christianity and turning it into a religion that’s less shocking to the intellect.
Christianity, once it had undergone its thorough Bolshevization after St. Paul’s subversion, became one of the single most intolerant, destructive, and hate-filled ideologies known to humankind. This intolerance gradually transmigrated from Christianity to Communism. The Jewish conception of Liberalism had destroyed both of these movements via atheist Bolshevism. Christianity only began its remarkable recovery and rebirth under Adolf Hitler, but the secular realm had succumbed to Communism. Since the Jews had permeated the American, British, and Soviet governments prior to Hitler’s ascension, even with the recovery of true Christ-Christianity, Hitler did not stand a chance against the entire Bolshevized First World.
The Allies had succumbed to Bolshevism in every way imaginable, as Jews had permeated their Christian and secular organizations, in order to mobilize them deceptively against the Nazi-Sozis. The European Nazis were the only true Christians in the world at the time; hence, they were the most hated and envied of all the nations of the world.
“By what would you have me replace the Christians’ picture of the Beyond? What comes naturally to mankind is the sense of eternity and that sense is at the bottom of every man. The soul and the mind migrate, just as the body returns to nature. Thus life is eternally reborn from life. As for the “why?” of all that, I feel no need to rack my brains on the subject [lesson to scientists and evolutionists]. The soul is unplumbable [read: unfathomable]” [pp. 142-144].
Hitler’s Thoughts on God
“If there is a God, at the same time as He gives man life He gives him intelligence. By regulating my life according to the understanding that is granted me, I may be mistaken, but I act in good faith. The concrete image of the Beyond that religion forces on me does not stand up to examination. Think of those who look down from on high upon what happens on earth: what a martyrdom for them, to see human beings indefatigably repeating the same gestures, and inevitably the same errors!
“In my view, H.S. Chamberlain was mistaken in regarding Christianity as a reality on the spiritual level.
“Man judges everything in relation to himself. What is bigger than himself is big, what is smaller is small. Only one thing is certain, that one is part of the spectacle. Everyone finds his own role. Joy exists for everybody. I dream of a state of affairs in which every man would know that he lives and dies for the preservation of the species [read: humanity]. It’s our duty to encourage that idea: let the man who distinguishes himself in the service of [humanity] be thought worthy of the highest honors.
“… Let’s be the only people who are immunized against the disease [of Christianity]” [pp. 144-145].
Synthesis of National Socialism and Christianity
“[Hans] Kerrl, with the noblest of intentions, wanted to attempt a synthesis between Christianity and National Socialism [Hegelian synthesis of two opposing forces]. I don’t believe the thing’s possible, and I see the obstacle in Christianity itself.
Hitler did not necessarily believe that the Christian Churches would offer to cooperate with his government, even though he was always more than willing to compromise and cooperate with them. This situation—or rather, dilemma—is what he had coined the Church Question.
“I think I could have come to an understanding with the Popes of the Renaissance. Obviously, Christianity was a danger on the practical level—and, on the propaganda level, it continued to be a lie. But a Pope, even a criminal one, who protects great artists and spreads beauty around him, is nevertheless more sympathetic to me than the Protestant minister who drinks from the poisoned spring.
“Pure Christianity—the Christianity of the catacombs (an underground cemetery consisting of passages or tunnels with rooms and recesses leading off them for burial chambers, Microsoft Thesaurus)—is concerned with translating the Christian doctrines into facts. It leads quite simply to the annihilation of mankind. It is merely whole-hearted Bolshevism, under a tinsel of metaphysics” [pp. 76-77].
Gratitude to Jesuits and Luther
“When all’s said we should be grateful to the Jesuits (a member of the Society of Jesus, a Roman Catholic religious order engaged in missionary and educational work worldwide). Who knows if, but for them, we might have abandoned Gothic architecture for the light, airy, bright architecture of the Counter-Reformation? In the face of Luther’s efforts to lead an upper clergy that had acquired profane habits back to mysticism, the Jesuits restored to the world the joy of the senses.
“It’s certain that Luther had no desire to mould humanity to the letter of the Scriptures. He has a whole series of reflections in which he clearly sets himself against the Bible. He recognizes that it contains a lot of bad things.
Luther had stated at one point that one would have to “stab out his eyes” in order to accept what all has been written in the Scriptures.
“Fanaticism is a matter of climate—for Protestantism, too, has burnt its witches. Nothing of that sort in Italy. The Southerner has a lighter attitude towards matters of faith. The Frenchman has personally an easy way of behaving in his churches. With us, it’s enough not to kneel to attract attention.
“But Luther had the merit of rising against the Pope and the organization of the Church. It was the first of the great revolutions. And thanks to his translation of the Bible, Luther replaced our dialects by the great German language!
“It’s remarkable to observe the resemblances between the evolution of Germany and that of Italy. The creators of the language, Dante and Luther, rose against the ecumenical (Christianity—relating to, involving, or promoting the unity of Christian Churches around the world) desires of the papacy.
“Each of the two nations was led to unity, against the dynastic interests, by one man. They achieved their unity against the will of the Pope” [pp. 8-9].
Hitler really seemed to revere the idea of a single ideology powerful enough to transcend class and Volk lines. National Socialism and Fascism appear to be the two most successful movements as per human historiography. The concept of Fascism has the ability to override the petty religious and racial differences amongst the body of the people within a nation.
In fact, according to John Lukacs, Hitler had stated in May 1944:
“We have this people of ours that is not to be identified with a race, and this is not clear to millions… But when I began [speaking] about twenty-five years ago this was not so. I was told by [counterrevolutionary-bürgerlich] circles: Yes, Volk and Race are one and the same! No! Volk and race are not the same. Race is a component of blood, a hematologic [blutmässig] kernel, but the Volk is very often composed not of one race, but two, three, four, or five different racial kernels… Each of these racial kernels possesses particular talents.”
He went on to say, on 26 May 1944:
“The strongest of these racial kernels, with a commercial but no creative talents, would have been the Jews among us, in the long run, and with the difference that this Jewry would not have been absorbed racially by the German people but that it would have destroyed the German Volk gradually, step by step.”
While speaking with Bormann, Hitler had stated:
“Pride of race is a quality which the German, fundamentally, does not possess. We use the term of Jewish race as a matter of convenience, for in reality and from the genetic point of view there is no such thing as the Jewish race” [Lukacs, The Hitler of History, p.123].
Good and Evil People
“A people, taken en masse, is neither wholly good nor wholly bad. It possesses the neither courage to be wholly admirable nor the wickedness to be wholly evil. It is the extremes at each end of the scale that decide the level of the average. If the good are decimated while the evil are preserved, then it is quite possible, as happened in Germany in 1918, for a handful of a few hundred evil vagabonds [read: Jews] to do violence to a whole nation” [p. 639].
Hitler: On Women and Fecundity
“The state of society in which woman was regarded merely as a slave would be, if we returned to it, a clear regression for humanity. But it’s not the only possible state. In prehistoric times, matriarchy was certainly a fairly widely spread form of social organization. When all’s said, a people never dies out for lack of men. Let’s remember that after the Thirty Years’ War polygamy was tolerated, so that it was thanks to the illegitimate child that the nation recovered its strength. Such particular situations cannot give rise to a legal regulation—but as long as we have in Germany two and a half million women vowed to celibacy, we shall be forbidden to despise the child born out of wedlock.
“Social prejudices are in the process of disappearing. More and more, nature is reclaiming her rights. We’re moving in the proper direction. I’ve much more respect for the woman who has an illegitimate child than for an old maid. I’ve often been told of unmarried women who had children and brought these children up in a truly touching manner. … The women who have no children finally go off their heads.
“It’s somewhat striking to observe that in the majority of peoples the number of women exceeds that of men. What harm is there, then, in every woman’s fulfilling her destiny? I love to see this display of health around me. The opposite thing would make me misanthropic. And I’d really become so, if all I had to look at were the spectacle of the ten thousand so-called elite. Luckily for me, I’ve always retained contacts with the people” [pp. 352-353].
Hitler was very sensitive to women’s issues, and I think it really comes through in this monologue. He did not want to see women subjugated, as they were/are in most Muslim countries. This is clearly one point of severe contention between the Christian West and the Muslim East. Western men have always held women in very high esteem, and Western women never needed to be “liberated.” Feminism is a completely unnecessary, dangerous, Liberal-Jewish deception that Western women have fallen for.
Hitler on Islam
“Hitler had been much impressed by a scrap of history he had learned from a delegation of Arabs. When the Mohammedans attempted to penetrate beyond France into Central Europe during the eighth century, his visitors had told him, they had been driven back at the Battle of Tours. Had the Arabs won this battle, the world would be Mohammedan today. For theirs was a religion that believed in spreading the faith by the sword and subjugating all nations to that faith. The Germanic peoples would have become heirs to that religion. Such a creed was perfectly suited to the Germanic temperament. Hitler said that the conquering Arabs, because of their racial inferiority, would in the long run have been unable to contend with the harsher climate and conditions of the country. They could not have kept down the more vigorous natives, so that ultimately not Arabs but Islamized Germans could have stood at the head of this Mohammedan Empire.
Hitler usually concluded this historical speculation by remarking, 'You see, it's been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn't we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness....” [Speer, Inside the Third Reich].
Even though Hitler did not agree with every aspect of Islam, he respected this religion, and he believed that Christianity had to become a little bit more like Islam, if it was to serve the interest of its Western adherents. Essentially, Hitler believed that Christianity had to undergo a de-Bolshevization process if it was to survive well into the future.
